Camo Mani
I've been wanting to do a camouflage manicure for ages. Now that we are in to September, and we're starting to see more fall clothing and fall colours I figured that now would be the perfect time to try the look out!

Cinco de Mayo Manicure
Here's a manicure I did for Cinco de Mayo, 2014:
Unfortunately, I no longer remember exactly which polishes I used to create this look. I used black nail polish for the base colour on all of my fingers except for my ring fingers. I then stamped these fingers with gold nail polish using images from Cheeky's Jumbo Plate 1, 'Viva Mexico'. On my ring fingers, I used the same gold nail polish as the base colour. I then stamped the ring fingers with the Aztec print image from Moyou London's Pro XL Collection plate 06. I created a red, white, and green gradient by filling the engraving with a drop of each colour before swiping and picking up the image.
I really like this manicure, but I especially love how the accent nails turned out. You can barely recognize the Aztec print, instead, it looks like a distressed surface with bits of gold peaking through. So awesome! I definitely want to try this technique again!

Purple Water Marble and Stamping Mani
Today, I have yet another water marble decal mani to share:
Polishes Used:
Finger Paints 'Violaceous Vase'
NYC 'Water Street Blue'
China Glaze 'Lotus Begin'
NYC 'Sidewalkers'
NYC 'Prince Street'
NYC 'NY Blues'
Plate Used:
Pueen PUEEN 57
I really love the colour palette of this manicure! Lotus begin is such a lovely light purple, and the other colours work beautifully with it! It was also really fun to do a multi-coloured stamp for the first time in a while. I used the effect on my middle finger, and I love the way it turned out!

Crackle Polish Challenge #11 - Pink, Red and White Valentine's Day Mani
2015 Crackle Polish Challenge Manicure #11
Featured crackle application:
Basic stamping over a shatter background.
Featured crackle polish:
OPI 'White Shatter'
Polishes Used:
OPI 'Got a Date To-Knight'
OPI 'White Shatter'
OPI 'Minnie Style'
A England 'Perceval'
Konad Special Polish in White
Plates Used:
Moyou London Festive Collection - 20
PUEEN35
Today's manicure is another variation of the stamping over shatter polish, that I did in my last post. The difference is that on today's manicure, I did more traditional stamping where the stamped image is in the foreground, as opposed to my last manicure, where the negative space stamping becomes the background of the final image. In other words, this manicure uses shatter polish as the background for stamping (on my ring finger), while my last manicure uses stamping to put the shatter in the foreground.
I really love the colour combination for this manicure - it just screams Valentine's Day!!!

Navy, Taupe, and Gold Mani - Using Moyou London Artist Plate 04
This is my second attempt at designing a manicure using Moyou London's Artist collection plate 04:
This time around, I wanted to try to incorporate multiple images from the plate, since I only used one image during my first attempt. The final manicure looks a little busy, but I like it! Just before I did this manicure I had to cut my nails even shorter than they already were, due to a few chipped nails. I was really disappointed about having to do that, because it's so hard for me to grow my nails out. However, one positive thing about cutting them is that with shorter nails, I find that you can get away with a lot more patterns and colours. With less surface area, the 'busy-ness' doesn't seem as overwhelming!
The polishes I used for this manicure were: OPI 'Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh', Sally Hansen's Color Foil in 'Liquid Gold', and Pure Ice nail polish in 'Party Hard'. Honestly, every time I use 'Liquid Gold' for stamping, I fall a little more in love with it! I think it looks so stunning when stamped - like intricately cut gold foil. I also really like the way that the dark blue base colour on my thumbs and ring fingers serves as a great background to showcase the gold stamping - it really helps it stand out.
Now that I'm finished with this plate, I'm really excited about moving on to the next plate in my Moyou London Artist Collection Design Series. Artist Collection 05 is gorgeous, and presents so many possibilities! Stay tuned...
