Nail Polish Empties!

Today, I have a couple empties to share! It's not very often that I actually have a completely empty bottle of polish to dispose of, let alone 2 of them! I'm strangely proud of this accomplishment. Just for laughs, I thought I'd add little badges to the picture to celebrate this amazing feat! Perhaps I'll even make this a tradition for any future emptied bottles!

The red polish on the left is called 'Cherry Brandy' by Covergirl from their 'Nail Slicks' line of polishes. Previously, it was one of the oldest polishes in my collection... I'm pretty sure it has to have been at least 12 to 15 years old!  I decided to try to use it up some time ago, and since then I have used it consistently as my pedicure colour, until it was gone.

The colour applied beautifully right up until I was nearing the bottom of the bottle, when it got quite thick. I added a little nail polish thinner, and it was as good as new, allowing me to squeeze an extra few pedicures out of the bottle. For the last pedicure, I had to dump all of the remaining polish onto a plastic baggy, and use the brush to apply it from there, as the brush didn't reach all of the way to the bottom of the bottle. I never really had to do that before, as it is truly quite rare that I finish an entire full size bottle of nail colour!

The other bottle is a Revlon Quick Dry Base Coat that I have been using underneath my manicures. There still is a tiny bit of product left in the bottom of the bottle, but after so much use, it is very thick, and since it is quick dry, it pulls and then dries into little wispy strands of polish that break off from the brush, and go flying! That final manicure's worth of polish is definitely not worth the trouble!
